Among the sheikhs of the Qadiriyya al-Budshishiyya order in Morocco are Sheikh Sidi al-Mukhtar ibn Muhyiddin (d. 1914) and Sheikh Sidi Abu Madin ibn al-Munawar (d. 1955). He is the one who brought the method out of its blessed stage into educational behavior, and he obtained permission for education, which he obtained after arduous spiritual research and struggle.
After him, this educational function was continued by Sidi Hajj Al-Abbas, then his son Sidi Hamza and Sidi Jamal, as they were considered the spiritual heirs of Sidi Abi Madian. They worked to renew the method and it spread widely.
Before the death of Sidi Abi Madian in 1955, he informed Sidi Al-Abbas that he was the heir of his secret. The latter was an example of humility and self-denial. He did not announce this matter, and he continued his service to the path for years, until he was forced to undertake the tasks and requirements of the sheikhdom.
Sidi Hamza Ibn Al-Abbas was qualified and authorized by Sidi Abi Medin to carry out the tasks of education and guidance, as confirmed by his father, Sidi Al-Abbas. However, he remained a disciple of his father, being polite to him and complying with his advice to hide the matter until the time came, and after the death of Sidi al-Abbas in 1972, Sidi Hamza became the sheikh of the order, the educator, as stipulated in the written will of Sidi al-Abbas and signed by the senior sheikhs of the order at that time.
