The recent international departure of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, a jailed convicted criminal on bail for 4 weeks on a Royal Qatari Luxury airliner from Lahore to London via Doha exposed the rotten security and accountability system of 6th Nuclear State with Long range missiles and day night fighting air force. It is a slap on the face of all law-abiding citizens in Pakistan. Off course it was an ‘asset recovery’ mission like Raymond Davies a former CIA asset was snatched from Pakistan with the help of all in one mafia.
A proper risk analysis of the system is needed otherwise Pakistan will have a ‘Lebanon like situation where police completely failed and military had to come on the street for policing’, a foreign & commonwealth office, Pakistan expert told me at a seminar of War Studies Department, Kings College London.
It is high time that ‘patriotic’ people with or without uniform sit down and draw a national security plan by empowering Imran Khan the prime minister of Pakistan. Both Imran Khan and Gen QamarBajawa cannot fight with foreign agents infested mafias. There is a great need of ‘corruption free national narrative’ starting from the police reforms with the engagement and recruitment of the retired military personals into ‘national policing program’. Police station is the first point of contact of a victim of crime and a person in distress. This is a cost-free action and only need activation and support of military pension offices in the country. It can be run as a pilot program for 5 years.
It would be interesting to know for all crop commanders and GHQ as how ‘much monthly rate’ a police station in charge SHO pay for the appointment. It will help them come out of the bubble as what really people on the street face from the police. The so-called PSP group is as much rotten as the rest police system because their rates are in millions with collusion of various mafias according to report by AsadMirza a crime reporter. Police officials were found to be selling officials arms and ammunition to the terrorists and gangs and then replicating with fakes as revealed during fight with ‘Choto gang’ in Punjab’.
The institutional support and swift response is very important for the work force. The foreign funded CTD type organisations will not deliver because of PBR ‘payment by results’ model which will lead to Sahiwal Type Botched up operations against innocent citizens.
In the case of security and law enforcement institutional capacity building only slogans are not enough we need boots on the ground keeping in view the size of the country. The others have already done the assessments and you need to wake up. That’s what made Nawaz Sharif’s escape possible using legal loopholes and weekend high court services.
US State Department has showed concerns about the inefficiency of the court system about the conviction rate of the terrorism related cases. That was the only reason military courts were established. Both AsifZardari and Nawaz Sharif lied to Pakistani nation about the hanging of convicted criminals in Pakistan by stating: ‘EU will put a ban on GSP plus’. There was no such condition was placed by the EU, when I asked them officially. This mafia saved murders, terrorists and criminals by lying to the nation.
In recent history of Pakistan, we have seen how United States become hyper manic to get the release of CIA asset Raymond Davies from Pakistani prison and local asset HussainHaqqaniformer Pakistan Ambassador to United States from Pakistan. Both were taken away in the highest speed.
For a country like USA these characters are not important as individuals but to keep the confidence and trust of the others around the world it was very important. People who join mafias knows that: ‘they will be protected and avenged if they die’. Their bosses will not leave their families in poverty and hunger while live in big villas themselves. In the time of difficulty never ask advice from a coward as he will always give an excuse instead of fighting.
Former Afghan President Karzai, was so honest with his feelings that he said to: “Major General John McCall the departing commander of the British forces in Afghanistan, “you deserve a lot, you could have been the president of this country (Afghanistan) for all the good work you have done”.
Well Karzai owed his life and title to the coalition forces especially British. In early November 2001 coalition forces picked up wounded Karzai from Urzugan province after his mission to incite revolt against Taliban failed.
Well British do look after their men unlike Americans and CIA in the case of Commander Abdul Haq, whom the Americans used to call ‘Hollywood Haq’.

The Americans used to call him ‘Hollywood Haq’ and it appears they let him die a Hollywood martyrs. That made a huge dent to the reputation of the CIA and the Americans among the other agents working in various countries. Probably that was the reason US activated all resources in Pakistan to get Raymond Davies released. They even used Islamic Sharia Law of ‘Diyat’ (blood money) to get Raymond Davies released by coercing the victim’s family members to accept.
Raymond Davies wrote all in his book ‘The Contractor’, as how all and sundry in Pakistan, politicians, police, judges, generals, businessmen and lawyers played a role in his release apart from that he killed two Pakistanis on the road in broad day light in Lahore.
The long and short of this is that all the departments in the country need to review and reboot their system of asset management, supervision and hand over to the next generations.
