Al-Mustafa coronavirus vaccine awareness campaign is succeeding

By Wajahat Ali Khan

At the beginning of its awareness campaign on the coronavirus vaccine Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust called on and appealed to Muslim clerics, doctors, teachers, members of parliament, community leaders and leading community leaders to join them and do their part to dispel rumours and negative trends within our community. According to chairman Al-Mustafa welfare trust Abdulrazzaq Sajid, we are pleased and pleased to have the full support of all schools of thought in our community in various cities across the UK. And that is why the perception of vaccines is largely gone. He lamented the report of the NHS, according to which showing that there are 23% Pakistanis and Kashmiri people are still reluctant to apply the vaccine. He said there are reports that these figures are provided by GPs who have been calling people at home and inviting them to come and get vaccinated. Among the 30% of those aged 80 or over in the Pakistani community who have neither been vaccinated nor refused the vaccine, it is likely that some – perhaps many – are undecided. I hope that we will yet persuade them to have the jab, because anyone who does not remains at risk as long as the virus is circulating, which is likely to be for some months yet.
“Of course, the being community is a moment of reflection for us and we need to do more to dispel this perception in the community,” he said. “Our community has a lot of ambiguity about vaccines, so we require time, money and full attention as well. Mr Sajid has said that because as an NGO our job is to serve humanity, so we are doing this work as a human service, it is important to do so because the virus is transmitted from one person to another and if vaccination is neglected, there is a risk that the virus will spread more in our community, which will definitely bring us into disrepute. He said that in this regard, we have included TV channels and newspapers including mosques, restaurants and social media in our awareness campaign and we have received their full support. We have started the benefits of the vaccine at the beginning of our campaign and to end the negative talk about it, millions of pamphlets were distributed. Their ultimate benefit was that people called our office and discussed about it. He said that of course diseases and epidemics are natural. But it is our duty to follow the established state procedure to address them as it is a matter of the overall health of human beings. We should look at this vaccine as if we were using drugs to treat other diseases. He said millions of people around the world have died from the virus so far, thousands of people in the UK are also infected and suffering from the virus every day, so the British government and other agencies in this era of the epidemic. They must be followed and acted upon and this information has to be passed on to other human beings as well in spreading the word about the coronavirus in our
community and play a positive role in dispelling rumours and negative tendencies.
Earlier this month Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust has taken a revolutionary step to dispel the rumours and negativity about applying vaccine. According to Chairman Abdulrazzaq Sajid, since all our work is for the good of humanity, we believe that it is our duty to address the negative aspects of the Coronavirus vaccine in the community and to encourage them to be vaccinated. He said we have a moral responsibility to make sure everybody gets the Vaccine and raising awareness about COVID-19 Vaccine, so everyone gets it. Me Sajid highlighted that AMWT is working hard to spread this message and using all possible tools for that. Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust also intend to make people aware that by vaccinating you can save not only your own life but also the lives of other people. Because if you are healthy, the whole society will be healthy, and this is the lesson of humanity too.

10 Myths About The COVID-19 Vaccine That Are Not True

We have a moral responsibility to make sure everybody gets the COVID-19 vaccine
01.COVID-19 VACCINE CAUSES IRREVERSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS.
TRUTH: No patient had so far suffered from irreversible side effects – in trials or in the population. This myth was spread by the misreading of a presentation which actually said 3000 of those vaccinated suffered with temporary and reversible side effects. All medicines have the potential to cause side effects, but this needs to be weighed up against the harm of the disease they are trying to prevent.
02.COVID IS SPREADING IN COUNTRIES WITH 5G NETWORKS
TRUTH: There is no scientific connection. This myth began as the COVID-19 outbreak coincided with 5G being rolled out in Wuhan. It ignores the fact that 5G delivery had started in other areas of China before the COVID outbreak. COVID has also affected countries that do not have 5G.

  1. DOCTORS WANT TO FORCE PEOPLE TO BE VACCINATED
TRUTH: We want people to make their own minds up based on factual information, not myths. Most countries will rely on education rather than dictation to convince the population. However, it would be irresponsible of us not to highlight areas where we feel people are being mislead- sometimes deliberately and dangerously.
  2. THE COVID VACCINE INGREDIENTS ARE HARAM
TRUTH: The Pfizer-Biontech and Oxford/ Astrazeneca vaccine contains no animal ingredients at all. Declaring a product Halal or Haram is a call for Islamic scholars who have studied this body of knowledge. The simple presence of a particular ingredient is not the only factor taken into account. Most previous vaccines, including the Pfizer-Biontech and Oxford/Astrazeneca vaccine have been declared halal by the majority of scholarly bodies worldwide.
  3. VACCINES CONTAIN ABORTED FOETAL CELLS
TRUTH: Vaccines do not contain foetal cells. Some vaccines (NOT the Pfizer, Moderna and Oxford/Astrazeneca COVID vaccines) originally used very particular foetal cells to grow the virus many decades ago. The original cells were the only option at the time. These cells are not present in current vaccines and have been declared acceptable to use by the majority of Islamic scholarly bodies worldwide.
  4. VACCINES ARE BEING USED TO CHIP AND TRACE THE POPULATION
TRUTH: Vaccines do not contain any chips or trackers for surveillance. Independent authorities across the world, from countries that compete with each other have approved the vaccine and not found any microchips. The truth is that there are far easier ways to track the population (mobile phone/Bank cards etc) than biological trackers.
  5. VACCINES ARE UNSAFE – THAT IS WHY NO PREGNANT WOMEN WERE IN TRIALS
TRUTH: Pregnant women & children are not usually included in initial trials. The current COVID vaccines are not recommended for most children at this stage. The guidance for pregnant women is to make decisions based on risk. This does not mean it is unsafe in these groups. It is reflective of them not being in the main trial groups and a sign of the safety protocols taken.
  6. THE VACCINES WAS APPROVED TOO QUICKLY TO BE SAFE
TRUTH: The speed of approval was mainly due to cutting red tape rather than cutting corners. There has been unprecedented worldwide scientific collaboration and funding to create the COVID vaccine. This global effort has allowed scientists to work at record speed and complete years of work in months.
  7. THE VACCINE MAY MODIFY YOUR DNA
TRUTH: There is no way that mRNA can change an individuals DNA. The COVID vaccine uses mRNA technology. The mRNA vaccine teaches our cells to make a protein that triggers a protective immune response. The mRNA is broken down soon after it enters the body, mRNA never enters the nucleus of the cell, where our DNA is stored.
  8. 99.97% RECOVER FROM COVID, BUT 3% GET MAJOR SIDE EFFECTS FROM THE VACCINE
TRUTH: These numbers are false. We should remember that over two million people have died from the virus and millions more are suffering long term complications. The small risk of minimal and often shortterm side effects of the vaccine do not outweigh the risk of long-term complications or death from COVID.
