Al Mustafa USA organised a free eye camp in Sangla Hill, in district Nankana Sahib, on May 23-2023. This eye camp was sponsored by renowned businessman of Virginia (VA) Mian Muhammad Sajjad Ikrm Naghmi at his residence near Football stadium, Hamraj Pura, Chak 40 RB, Sangla Hill. A team of Al Mustafa Eye Hospital Lahore moved for Sangla Hill, team was consisted on eye surgeon, optometrists, laboratory technicians and other medial staff. An operation theatre was set up in eye camp where all surgeries were performed. Al Mustafa team organized free OPD camps in different rural areas including Chak 55 RB, Rehmanpura and village Burgi. During the camp about 1732 eye patients were screened out while 42 cataract surgeries performed, some 49 lab test and 528 eye sight glasses also distributed among the needy patients. Separate sitting arrangements were made for ladies and gents, while free accommodation and food for patients and their heirs also served the occasion. Donor Sajjad Akram was very happy over the successful eye camp, he said that it was his first experience to set up a free eye camp with the help of Al Mustafra USA, there was very hot weather, but a large number of poor and needy patients visited the eye camp and they check up their eyes. A mobile lab was also working 24 hours during the camp where Hepatitis B, C, Aids, blood test, blood sugar and other eye tests facilities provided. Doctors and medical staff were very cooperative, Al Mustafa also provided free glasses, medicine, while all patients who were operated, they also received one- month medicines free of cost. Al Mustafa also provided free ambulance services and follow up facility for the patients who were operated in eye camp, “ Our local people are very poor and they can’t afford eye surgeries, while there is no eye surgeon nor any hospital facility in area, I am very happy to serve the poor patients, some patients have no transport and they reach on donkey carts, I am much impressed and thankful to Al Mustafa Relief Aid USA and will set up next eye camp in forthcoming winter season. I request to all oversees Pakistanis living in USA, that they must cooperate with Al Mustafa for the serving of humanity” Mr Sajjad Akram added.
